603 Karate Competition Team

Making Waves
603 Karate is a modest-sized dojo. We study Uechi Ryu Karate.
This style of Karate is well known for practical self-defense.
It is not well-known in the competitive martial arts world.
That is starting to change due to a dedicated group of students at 603 Karate.
Thanks to strong leadership and focused training, competitors are bringing home medals, trophies, plaques, and a ton of pride in their art.
Whether it is a Kata or Sparring competition, students from 603 Karate are representing the dojo and Uechi Ryu Karate with the respect and pride it deserves.

Taking the lead
The Competition Team is led by 603 Karate Brown Belt and U.S. Martial Arts Team member Cody Strohl.
Cody has been traveling all through New England (and as far as Florida and Las Vegas!), competing in events held by organizations including
-
AAU
-
IPPONE
-
Krane
-
SMART
-
Whistlekick
Cody started competing all on his own, often as the only Uechi Ryu practitioner competing.
Now Cody is leading a group of students at the dojo, sharing in his success.
In addition to his own competition career, Cody is passionate about helping grow the dojo’s tournament team and inspiring the next generation of martial artists through hard work, discipline, and perseverance.
